May 2018 Wrap Up

Wrap Up

This month I didn’t read 11 books lol!!! I’m not sure what happened last month but I hope it happens again before the year ends because that was a blast. It’ll be harder to read in the Summer months due to Big Brother which pretty much takes over my life haha. Any Big Brother fans out there?!?!?

I did manage to read:

King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard: 3 Stars, check out my review here.

Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey: 5 Stars, check out my review here.

The Art of French Kissing by Brianna R. Shrum: 2 Stars, review to come.

So this month went by WAY too fast. I did struggle with picking up books this month. I blame last month reading 11 books on that. I’m still happy with the amount I read this go around. There’s always room for improvement. This month we also wrapped up one of my favorite series in book club. It was bittersweet 😦 Can’t wait to see what series we tackle next!! Throne of Glass series anyone?!?!

So this month has its pros and cons. I went way up in the books I read this month as opposed to last month. However, I went down in my stats for pretty much every category. That makes me pretty sad because I want to be growing each month BUT it’s still great stats overall. I need to push myself to network more and not get caught up in only commenting on the same few blogs each month. I hope you all had an amazing month and I look forward to May and seeing what all we will accomplish.

January 2018 Wrap Up

Wrap Up

In the month of January I read 3 books. Let me explain a bit….I started The Great Pursuit by Wendy Higgins on December 21st and finished it on January 2nd. I also started The Beau and The Belle by R.S. Grey but didn’t finish this month. Technically I only read 2 books but I also read half of 2 others. So….I’m going with 3 because I read two full ones and two halves 😀 ((just let me have this lol!!))

I really wanted to read more this month but ran into several issues. I had some health issues pop up that had me basically on bed rest. I didn’t feel like doing anything. My stepdad also has some health issues going on that I needed to be there for. All in all, things pop up and that’s life. I hope to read more in February but if I can’t….I’m okay with it!

The Great Pursuit by Wendy Higgins: 5 Stars, check out my review here.

Say You’ll Remember Me by Katie McGarry: 3 Stars, check out my review here.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson: 4 Stars, check out my review here.

The Beau and The Belle by R. S. Grey: Review will be up in February.

Book Club

In the month of January, I started a monthly book club. I chose the book for January but will have polls on Twitter for future picks. The book we read in January was The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson. It was such a huge success!!! We had 7 people in total for this month. Myself, Linda, Danielle, Adrianna, Sahitya, Nicole, and Cassie. I loved discussing the book with this amazing group. I had a blast and hope they all did as well. Here’s to having another great book club next month!! *cheers*

Not the best stats this month…..BUT as I said, I had a LOT going on. I’m not going to stress about it. I only post these stats because I enjoy seeing the growth over time. I’m not constantly watching my stats page and obsessing over it….I just like seeing how far I’ve come.

Whew, this was a long one!! I haven’t posted wrap ups before but that was something I wanted to start in 2018. As I said, I like looking back and seeing how each month was. Overall, it was a chaotic month but I thoroughly enjoyed the book club I started. I cannot wait to host more and hope everyone else loves it just as much! Wishing you all a great February in all that you do ❤
