The Chase by Elle Kennedy

Releasing: Unknown

I NEED this book!!!! So far all we have is a title. We don’t have a cover, blurb, synopsis, release date, etc. It’s killing me to not know more!!! I absolutely LOVED the Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy and this is a spin off series from that one. EEK!!! Sign me up immediately!!!!

Why is this on the list you may ask? I’ve heard rumors of a May/June release so we shall see!!!

A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1)

Releasing: May 1st

No list is complete with having Sarah J Maas on it!! She’s an auto-buy author for me and I cannot wait to continue with the ACOTAR series. I splurged and ordered this from Good Choice Reading’s Virtual Signing. Let’s hope it was worth the extra $!!

Dating Disasters of Emma Nash

This book looks adorable and hilarious!!! I’m hoping my library purchases this one!!! It’s too cute not to read!!!

Jock Row (Jock Hard, #1)

The Ruthless Gentleman

I have yet to read a book by this author……..I know, I know. I just have 800 million authors to try and feeling overwhelmed lol. I follow so many book bloggers and my TBR grows DAILY. No joke….

Finally, we have my girl Victoria Aveyard. This will be the final book in the Red Queen series. I’m sooo sad it’s going to end. I’m hoping I love her next series just as much……I also hope she has another series in the works because I haven’t heard ANYTHING!!!!!

These are the books I’m most looking forward to in May. I feel like I’m forgetting some but that’s okay. What books are you most excited for in May?! Let me know in the comments below!!

Last 5 books added to my TBR

Random Ramblings

I saw this feature on Tea and Titles blog and thought it looked fun!!! I wanted to join in on the fun and share with you the books I’ve added recently!!

Sincerely, Carter (Sincerely Carter, #1)

My friend Deanna, at A Novel Glimpse, told me about this book. It was free on Amazon and she said I needed to grab it! I trust Deanna’s judgment on books because we have similar tastes!

The Game Can't Love You Back

I follow this author on Twitter who mentioned her latest book. The cover is adorable and the synopsis sounds like my type of book.

The End Zone

I saw this cover reveal floating around and wooo…..loving that cover lol!!! It’s a short story but I still think I’ll check it out!

Thief (Boston Underworld, #5)

The author of this book hosted a giveaway and I won a copy!! Woot woot!! Can’t wait to check it out!

A Week in New York (The Empire State Trilogy, #1)

I’m a member of an author’s newsletter and she graciously gifted her members this book for free. Woohoo!! I can’t wait to try this author!

So there are the last 5 books that I’ve added to my TBR. Let me know what you think!! It’s all romances BUT I’ve been on a romance kick lately so it’s understandable.

Red Queen Swag

Random Ramblings

I’m sure you all know my love for the Red Queen series by now lol. I thought it would be fun to show you all the swag I have for this series. I still have a few items I’m looking for: the glass case that Glass Sword came in, Glass Sword bookmark, Red Queen button, Glass Sword tote bag, Red Queen sampler, and the Kneel or Rise foam sword. So if you see these anywhere, let a girl know haha!!

All I need now is the last book, War Storm. Cannot wait to read it!!!! These covers are some of my all time favorites. I love that they all match and the theme stayed consistent throughout. I also love how chunky they are!! I know some authors are going to those super thin pages, which I’m not a fan of.

I have two of the Rise, Red as the Dawn posters. Always good to have a back up lol!! The Scarlet Guard bandanna is one of my favorites (I should’ve ironed this but was scared it would mess up the letters). The crown box is a special edition box that came with the Red Queen arc. I treasure it soooo much!!! To see more photos of the arc box, check my Instagram here.

I forget where I got these posters. I’m assuming inside one of the books. I love how it breaks down each house. It’s so interesting to read and learn their colors, powers, etc. I also love the #NewBloodsRise poster. It’s this bright red that just pops!!

This is the reversed side to the posters in the photo above. Very cool!!! Loving all the artwork! Which house do you want to belong to? Better yet, what power would you like to have? Sign me up for Whispers please!! And since I’ll be marrying Cal, I’m House Calore.

There’s all the swag I have!! Hope you enjoyed seeing it all 🙂 If you’re interested in joining our read-along for this series, check out the schedule here.

Current Favorites: March 2018

Random Ramblings

I’ve done one of these posts previously and really enjoyed sharing my favorites with everyone. I think it’s fun to look back on what I was loving at the time and see what stuck with me. Ocean Spray Fruit Juice, Cran-Strawberry, 64 Fl Oz, 1 Count

I LOVE this stuff!!! It’s so tasty!!! I wasn’t sure about the flavor combo but it really works!

Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles Fudge Swirl, 5.1 OZ

Ya’ll…..I have discovered Lindors chocolates and there is NO going back. I love this kind and the milk chocolate the best.

Luke Combs - This One's For You (CD)

I’ve been obsessed with Luke Combs “One Number Away” and “Hurricane” so much lately. I play them on repeat over and over. Both are such great songs!! Highly recommend you give them a try!

Suits Poster

I’ve also recently discovered this TV series and ……I’m on season 5 lol!!! I need to find the date I started watching….trust me it wasn’t that long ago and I can’t put it down. Can’t wait to watch this series live at the end of this month.

Book Club

I’m absolutely loving my book club read alongs. They have been so much fun!!! I love reading the books with others and discussing them as we go along. It just adds this special aspect to reading a book as opposed to reading it alone. If you want to check out future read alongs, click here.

I hope you enjoyed this post!! Let me know what your current faves are!!!

Book series I want to try

Random Ramblings

If you are a reader, chances are you have a mile long list of book series you want to try. I thought it would be fun to share some of the series that are on my list. Maybe even get some recommendations for more series to try lol!!! This is by no means all of the series because that would be extremely too long for one post. I hope you enjoy the ones I chose! Let me know if I picked some good ones to try 🙂

*Clicking each book cover will take you to it’s Goodreads page. I will also link the series Goodreads page underneath each book cover.*

Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)

The Graceling Realm Series by Kristin Cashore

If I’m not mistaken these are all companions and not necessarily a series BUT I could be wrong. I’ve heard mixed things about this series but I’m intrigued enough to want to give it a shot.

Uglies (Uglies, #1)

The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfield

I started this book a long time ago and was really enjoying it BUT I was in the middle of  a reading slump so I put it back down. I would like to pick this up and try again now that the slump has passed. I honestly don’t remember hearing much about this series?

An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1)

Ember quartet by Sabaa Tahir

I know I know….I’m like the last person to read this one. I want to , I do…it’s just I want to read a million others just as bad. Read faster brain!!!

Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1)

The Witchlands by Susan Dennard

Most people I’ve talked to LOVED this one. I’m not big on reading books with witches so not sure if I will enjoy it. HOWEVER, I’ve been convinced enough to try it so there’s that lol.

The Orphan Queen (The Orphan Queen, #1)

The Orphan Queen series by Jodi Meadows

Here’s another series that I’m late to the game on. Let’s be honest, I’m late to the game on all of these lol. This one sounds really interesting and I recently purchased it on Book Outlet so now I have zero excuses.

I think 5 is a solid number to start with today. Maybe I’ll continue doing this over time and show everyone what series I want to attempt. I need advice on ones to skip and ones to bump up the list. Thanks so much for reading and have a great day!!!

2017 Holiday Wishlist

Random Ramblings

This year has hit my family pretty hard. We have a lot going on so I know Christmas will be super light this year. Which is 100% fine. I have plenty of things and piles of books to read so I’m a happy girl! I still thought it would be fun to make a short list of things I would like in the future. This list won’t include books, as I already made that post here. Check out my non book wishlist below:

*Click the photos to see the item’s website*

I’m a big Sims player and this is one of the games I’d like to add to my collection. They recently made changes to the minimum requirements taking away Windows Vista capability :(( I just can’t afford Windows 7 or a new computer at this time so I won’t be getting any new content for awhile. I still have plenty to explore in this series so I’m not tooooooo upset by this. (she tries to say with a straight face lol)

Man of Steel (Two-Disc Special Edition DVD)

I absolutely LOVE Henry Cavill as Superman. *swoons* I need this DVD in my life!! I’m hoping Henry stays Superman for a very long time!!! P.S. I haven’t watched this one yet, I have seen Batman Vs. Superman though.

Technically you could call this a book but not really. I’m filing this in the non book category since it’s for coloring, not reading. I have yet to even see the artwork for this one but I just know I’ll love it. Plus I need it because this series has become a top favorite of mine. I think I could read this series over and over without ever getting tired of it.

I’m sure you’ve also heard about my love for puzzles by now. My favorite ones are the food/candy puzzles. This is an ice cream themed one that I would LOVE to have. It’s a 1,000 pieces, which is what I typically only work on these days. It’s also by White Mountain which has become my go to brand for puzzles.

Lastly we have what I’m calling the “long shot/ain’t gonna happen” item lol!!! I’ve wanted a Kindle Paperwhite with E-ink for some time now. I get headaches easily while reading on a screen so I’m told this is exactly what I need. It’s like reading a printed book. One day Paperwhite… day!!!

These are my top 5 items that I would love to have this Christmas or sometime in the future. What items are you wishing for?! (Non-bookish this time) I hope you all get everything you want for Christmas and have a wonderful time.

2018 Finishing the Series Challenge

I stumbled across this challenge while looking for 2018 challenges to participate in. I’m big into series and falling behind because of my love for starting 500 of them. I thought it would be fun to wrap up a few of these to get them off my TBR.

  • The challenge will run from January 1st, 2018 to December 31st, 2018.  Books must be read during this time frame to count.  Sign up is open from now until December 1st, 2018, so you may join even just for the last month of the year.
  • Series can be already completed as well as still ongoing.  For ongoing series, the goal is to catch up to the most recent book published.  For example, the host is hoping to catch up on the Winston Brothers series by Penny Reid. There will still be another book coming in 2019 before that series is considered complete.  She would just need to read all the books published before the end of 2018 to qualify it as completed for this challenge.  So assuming the release schedule remains the same, that would include Dr. Strangebeard but not Beard Necessities.
  • They don’t care if you have only 1 book or 10 books to read in order to finish your series, as long as you’ve started the series before 2018 (ie read at least one book in the series), it counts.  Re-reads are not required.
  • Any format and length of book counts – print, ebook, audio, ARC, etc.
  • Series can be any length (even if it’s just a Duet).
  • Crossovers from other challenges are totally acceptable!
  • Reviews are not required, but highly encouraged.

Getting Started:

  • You do not need to be a blogger to participate, there are many ways to declare.  You could write a blog post, create a reading challenge page, create a Goodreads shelf containing series you hope to finish, post about it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Sign up for the challenge using the link up here.
  • They will be posting monthly link ups for you to add links to your reviews or any wrap-up/overview posts you wish to share.
  • Use the hashtag #FinishingTheSeries2018 on any social media to keep up with other participants!

My Goal:

I’m aiming to complete the B-List Series Finisher tier. This means I’m going to attempt to complete/catch up on 5-8 series.

The Series:

This is just a rough draft and by no means set in stone. I like to read what I want, when I want (mood reader) so I can’t guarantee this will be my TBR.

Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo : Book Two in the Six of Crows Duology

Warrior Witch (The Malediction Trilogy, #3)

Warrior Witch by Danielle L. Jensen : Book Three in the Malediction Trilogy

Still Me (Me Before You, #3)

Still Me by JoJo Moyes : Book Three in the Me Before You Trilogy

The Rose and The Dagger by Renee Ahdieh : Book Two in the Wrath and the Dawn Duology

The Moth & the Flame (The Wrath & the Dawn, #0.25)

*I also need to read the novellas: The Moth and The Flame & The Mirror and The Maze*

The Goal (Off-Campus, #4)
