Knuckle Down (The Cursed Ravens MC, #2)

You guys know I have a weakness for single dads. Knuckles did not let me down in regards to being such an amazing father. He always put his girls first and was always there for them. I love how he wasn’t with their mother anymore but he didn’t let that affect him seeing his daughters, caring for them, etc. It takes a real man to step up as a father let me tell you. There is also nothing more attractive than a present father.

This story follows up Ace of Hearts where we have Erin’s cousin, Celina, front and center for her turn at romance with a MC member. Who better for her to fall for than Erin’s bestie, Knuckles? lol!! I found myself relating to Celina is so many ways. She was afraid of trusting men and allowing them to break down the walls she built up to hide behind. Celina was afraid of getting hurt and putting herself out there when there’s no guarantee that it will all work out. I struggle with putting myself out there too. Trusting others is not easy to do when you’ve been let down so much. I just loved her backstory and how she still wanted to be her own woman/person even after she was in a relationship. Overall, she was such a great character.

There’s just something about this series that I cannot get enough of. These stories take me about a day to a day and a half to read. It goes by WAY too fast. I want them to be 500+ pages. I’m going to start the next book, Going Rogue, right away. Rogue has been the guy I’ve been crushing on since book one so I cannot wait to see how his story goes. I’m also hoping the author stretches this series out. I’ll take 5 or more additional books please!!

Not sure how I felt about this one lol. I liked the main characters overall. I understood why they did certain things and why they had the reputations they did but still, some things threw me for a loop. If you’ve read the synopsis, you understand that this couple is into sexy times in public places. This was interesting and unique for me to read but also got to be too much at times. I’m all for finding out who you are and what you like and don’t like, but certain scenes such as the red room……weren’t for me.

I did enjoy the story running in the background throughout this book. Both characters lived at least a portion of their lives in the public eye so it was interesting to see who they truly were, not just who page six said they were. I also liked how previous characters in book one made an appearance . I always love checking up on couples in series and seeing how their lives are going.

Overall, this book and series so far are HOT. If you need a spicy book, grab these!! Fair warning: they aren’t for the faint of heart lol. I’m glad this book had more of a story line than book one did. Can’t wait to see what the next book holds.

WOW!!! I have no idea how to write down all my thoughts and feelings. Jeeze. This is going to be a tough review to write. I will say this book totally surprised me. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. I wasn’t expecting the emotions that this book brought out of me. When I first started reading this, I thought oh crap….I’m going to hate this……BUT I kept going and I’m so happy I did.

I’m a huge fan of MC romances. I can’t get enough of these bad boy bikers and their ladies. The family aspect of the MC group just pulls me in and makes me want to jump into the pages of the story. Chase and Sasha were high school sweethearts. Nothing could tear these two apart…..then one day while out riding together, a drunk driver hits them and changes everything. I won’t go further than that because I truly want you all to experience this book on your own. If the first part isn’t your cup of tea, just keep pushing. As I said, I wasn’t a big fan of the beginning but I’m more than sold on this now that I’m finished.

There was a lot of emotions in this story. It’s not a peppy/happy book which isn’t a thing in MC books I’m sure. There is a lot that goes down in the story and to the characters. This book is really well written and very hard to put down. I think I read this in two sittings. If you are a fan of MC romances, I highly suggest you give this a try. I’m new to these authors but will definitely pick up more from them. I cannot wait for the next book in this series to see where the story continues because we still have a lot of story left to see.

Words cannot express how much I loved this book. GAHHHH!! I’m seriously just so in love right now that I want to pick this right back up and start it from the beginning. It was perfection. I loved the story, the characters, the town, etc. I just have ALL the feels after finishing this amazing story.

Step aside book boyfriends because there’s a new guy at the top of my list. Garrett Daniels is the complete package. His confidence was the sexiest thing ever!! And the way Garrett cared for his students and players……I can’t even. I wouldn’t mind having 80 more books with this couple. I never wanted the story to end.

Callie was another top favorite for me in this one. I loved her sooo much!!! Garrett and Callie used to date back in High School but when they graduated their paths led them in different directions. Fate and life have a way of putting people together that are just meant to be. I’m a firm believer in that. These cuties were the perfect couple. I loved their ups and downs, their highs and lows. I can’t remember the last time I rooted so strongly for a couple.

The High School scenes in this story were the best. I loved how Callie and Garrett were both teachers. I could just envision the school, the students, the classrooms, etc. I loved how they truly cared for their students and their jobs. Their connections with the students was very inspiring. It was so special to see it all unfold.

I’ll admit, this book BRINGS the feels. So keep your Kleenex boxes close by!! This is a beautiful story and I cannot recommend it enough.

Let me just wade through the mountain of Kleenex piled up on my bed to get to my computer. I have no words for this book. If I had to describe it using one word, I’d probably use beautiful. The message in this story was just plain beautiful. It talks about “zooming in” on people. Seeing more than just what others show us. Looking at the core of people and seeing that we all bleed red. We all have hopes, dreams, fears, etc. At our cores, we are all the same. We’re all struggling with something. It’s so simplistic when you think about it.

This is a story about forbidden love. The pastor’s daughter and the town drunk’s son. This story has so many twists and turns to keep you from never wanting to put your kindle/book down. The characters are so deep and complex. They each had their own stories and reasons for being how they were. It was heartbreaking to read but so eye opening.

I hate to say much about what happens in this book because I want you all to experience it for yourselves. I don’t want to spoil anything that happens because it’s truly a masterpiece. This book is all about love. The good, the bad, and everything in between. Disgrace was my first book by this author and I’m just flabbergasted by her writing. I just want to throw everything else to the side and read everything she’s ever written.

I really loved how this story featured anxiety and panic attacks. I don’t read many books where this is touched on so I truly appreciated having it in this one. I also want to tell you about the bookstore they had in the book. In the town they have this bookstore where you can go in and sit and read for however long you like. The only rule is, once inside you cannot talk. I thought that was so cool to have a bookstore that you could read in for however long you liked. It was a book lovers dream. Another awesome detail in the story was they had this big, bad guy that everyone feared who only read young adult books. HOW COOL IS THAT? See, you can read whatever genre you like and that is okay. That really touched my heart. I always say you can read whatever, whenever as long so you aren’t hurting anyone, who cares?

Overall, it’s clear this book was a home run for me. I can’t recommend it enough. Even if you aren’t a fan of romances, I still think you’d like this one.

Sooo good! I’m really happy that I gave this book a chance. I love motorcycle romances and this one did not disappoint. I really wish I had the next book in my hand. I read this book in about 1.5 days. I could’ve finished it in one sitting if my eyes would’ve let me.

If you don’t already know, this is a story about a girl, Erin, who finds out her father isn’t her biological father. Come to find out, her father is the president of a motorcycle group. Erin charges into the motorcycle home base and demands to see her father. That takes some serious guts…I loved watching Erin getting to know her father and his mc group. So many times I would bust out laughing and have to close the kindle cover to regroup lol. I LOVE books that make me feel that way.

Erin…..Trouble was a great nickname for her. I had some issues with Erin I will say. I felt she was immature and childish at times. She would throw these fits or make certain comments that would have me shaking my head. There was this quote in the book along the lines of saying she may be bratty and stubborn but her good qualities are worth putting up with the bad. I felt that to be very true. I could overlook her bratty times and focus on her other qualities which truly made up for those few times.

Ace had this swagger that just pulled me in right away. Ladies just flocked to him. He seemed very suave and yet, he didn’t give off player vibes. He admitted to never having cheated on anyone and never intends to. Ace has this code of honor even while being in a MC and all that goes with that.

I fell so hard for the guys in the MC group. I hope they all get their own story and happily ever after. I loved reading about Ace and I’m most looking forward to Rogue’s story which is book three. Overall, I had a blast. Realistically I rate this a 4.5 I just wish Erin wasn’t so bratty at times to give this a full 5 stars.

Review: Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey

Arrogant Devil

Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey

This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.

Rachel Grey strikes again!!! I swear I fall more in love with her writing with every book I read by her. Can she even write a mediocre book!? I don’t think she can!! This was one of those slow burn romances that I’m usually not a fan of but MAN, did it work for me this time. Whew!!! I did the big cheesy grins and laughed SO much with this one. This author never fails to bring humor to her romances and I love it!!

Meredith Avery was such a fun character. She leaves her emotional abusive husband in California to set out on her own. Meredith has a half sister, Helen, who works on a ranch in Texas. Meredith flees to the state of Texas in the middle of the night only to find her sister on vacation in Paris, France. Helen has the owner, Jack McNight, set her up with a place to stay and a job knowing good and well that Meredith won’t be able to stick it out thanks to her lavish lifestyle. Little does anyone know, Meredith has determination and persistence on her side. She is willing to do what it takes to make it on her own. I admired her so much for her willpower and dedication. I also loved that she gave Jack a taste of his own medicine attitude wise.

Jack is known for being a standoffish, gruff type of guy. He’s not the warm and fuzzy guy that you randomly shoot the bull with. (Using Texas language since this is a Texas themed book lol) Jack runs Blue Stone Ranch which entails a ranch, vineyard, luxury bed and breakfast, a restaurant, and a wedding venue. Needless to say, he has his hands full. I wasn’t so sure about Jack with his abrasive attitude at first. He definitely grew on me as the book continued. By the end, I was swooning let me tell ya! Jack’s patience with Meredith was beyond charming!! I appreciated him not pressuring her in any type of way. He’s one of a kind for sure.

I loved that Meredith didn’t let her past dictate her future. She didn’t let her emotionally abusive ex ruin her outlook on finding love and that happily ever after. I found that so inspiring. The underlining point was: Looks can be deceiving. Just because someone looks happy, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are. As I mentioned earlier, this was a slow burn romance but it was well worth the wait. Sometimes love creeps up on you without you even suspecting it.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved it even more that it was set in Texas. The small town setting was another bonus for me. I love how tight knit small town’s are. They always have each other’s backs and support each other no matter what. Super cute!!! Highly recommend this one, as well as any other works by this author.

Review: More Than This by Jay McLean

More Than This (More Than, #1)

More Than This by Jay McLean

You know those books that completely surprise you? That was more than this for me. To give you a little backstory, I recently made a tbr jar. I put in all these books that I’ve been meaning to get to but just haven’t yet. Yesterday I decided to choose a book from the jar and this is the book that was written down. Y’all…….I cannot tell you how amazing this book is. This is my first book by this author but you better believe that I will go and read everything she has ever written.

The writing was perfection. I’m trying to figure out how to tell you how amazing it is without saying “it’s amazing” over and over lol. I will say this is quite an emotional read. It deals with a lot of deeper issues and topics. I cried so much while reading this book. I think this is the most I’ve cried over one story in a super long time. With that being said, I did more than cry with this book. I swooned, I laughed, I cringed, etc. Basically this book is the perfect roller coaster of emotions.

Character wise, this book was on point. I had so many awesome people to choose from to be my favorite. Lucy was hands down in my top three. She was so hilarious! I also loved that she was a reader. Her pulling out an ereader at a party was just the best thing ever. I also couldn’t help but love Mikayla. This girl went through so much in this story. I don’t know how she kept going. I would’ve just laid in the floor and refused to move. I truly admire her and wish I could reach into the book and bear hug her.

Jake Andrews. This guy right here….he was grade A book boyfriend material. I swooned so hard for him. I can’t even tell you how many times I had to close my Kindle and just have a moment after something he said or did. I have so much I want to say about him but don’t want to spoil anyone. Trust me though, you’ll swoon just like I did.

Overall, the writing is what really got me in this book. It was so well written and the story just unfolds right before your eyes like a movie. The amount of quotes I saved for this one is borderline embarrassing lol. I feel like they were just too epic to not keep. If you like emotional reads and books that hit you right in the feels…this is the one for you.

Review: The Rule Breaker by Cat Carmine

The Rule Breaker

The Rule Breaker by Cat Carmine

This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.

This book was adorable!!! It had romance, love, ups and downs, steamy moments, moments of finding yourself, etc. It was just everything tied up into a cute, little story!! I loved these characters so much. I wish they were real so we could all be besties!! I won’t even try and steal Tyler away from Emma, although let’s be honest….he’s quite the catch!!

Emma thinks she has life all figured out. She thinks she has the guide to living life and getting everything you need out of it. Little does Emma know, Tyler Grant is about to rock her world. Tyler just so happens to be the new CEO for the publishing company that Emma wrote a book for. Emma’s book is all about being this nice, polite girl and setting up your future with 3 easy steps so to speak. She’s used to doing everything properly and being a perfectionist. Tyler is quite the opposite when it comes to personalities. He’s this laid back, easy going carefree spirit who believes in taking life as it comes. As I said previously, I loved both of these characters and their outlooks on life. I love how Tyler brought some things to Emma and she did the same in return.

This book has this great romance that has some scenes that will have you needing a tall glass of ice water and a fan pointed directly at you. I love how Tyler brought out the spicier side of Emma but things always seemed to take an unexpected turn whenever she let her guards down. Those cringe worthy moments made this book so fun for me. You just never knew what type of trouble those two would get into haha.

Do yourself a favor and pick up this book!! I had such a blast reading it and I want more from this world/characters/etc. Please tell me we get more books!! Emma’s sisters need books too!!!
