This week’s theme is: Love comes softly movie series review
Welcome to part 2 of this series review. You can check out part one here. This is a Christian romance/drama series that follows one family throughout but focuses on one family member at a time usually. I recently watched the entire series from the beginning and wanted to share my thoughts on each movie. I also plan on reading the books at some point so can’t wait to compare notes. So…one thing I don’t like about this series is the constantly changing of cast members. For example, in this one Belinda was blonde….in the previous two movies she had dark, black hair. Obviously they changed actresses but you’d think they would at least keep the same hair color for that character. Also can they not offer contracts to these actors and actresses so they stay on for the duration? -Rant over-
In this we see Belinda making her way in a new town. She’s a doctor now and trying to convince everyone she’s just as qualified as a man to do her job. This one was tough to watch because of the meanness displayed by some characters. It’s hard to imagine the hatred that some people have, especially towards children. Overall, I enjoyed this movie but I feel the story lines are getting a bit repetitive.
Not my favorite if i’m being honest. I didn’t care for Belinda and this one focuses on her again. It’s okay to be a strong woman but it’s also okay to let people help you and be there for you.
I didn’t realize this was the story of the patriarch for this entire series. LOL. She said something Clark Davis and I went wait a second……I loved that they gave us a prequel and let us learn about a younger Clark. The actor who played him was Wes Brown. I have a HUGE crush on him so was pleasantly surprised to see him!! I really enjoyed this movie and the story. Can’t wait for the next one which is a continuation.
I liked the message behind this one. God didn’t say it would be easy, he said he would be by your side through it all.
Sadly, I didn’t enjoy seeing this side of the family lol!! Instead of following Missy and her lineage, we followed Aaron and Ellie. Aaron was the child of Marty and Ellie was the child of Marty and Clark. ((Super confusing even for me)) First off, this was three hours long. I don’t care what the movie is about…three hours is too long. It drug on and on. I thought it would never end lol!!! I also felt it was unnecessary overall but that’s just my opinion. The bright side was having Dylan Bryce on the cast *swoons*.
I’ve finally done it!!!! I watched every movie in this series. WOOT WOOT!! It took awhile but it was worth it in the end. I enjoyed this series for the most part and hope to read the book series one day.
