Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Meant To Read In 2017

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s theme is: Books I Meant To Read In 2017

*Clicking the book cover photos will take you to its Goodreads page*

Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)

I really thought I would’ve read this by now. I’m also surprised I haven’t been spoiled yet. I have heard waffles mentioned here and there but no idea what that means lol.

The Goal (Off-Campus, #4)

I think the vibe is different in this one as opposed to the previous 3 books in the series. I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy it as much so that makes me apprehensive to start this one.

The Rose & the Dagger

I know why I haven’t read this yet….I DO NOT want to say goodbye to these characters. I just can’t. I want to read this so bad but can’t make myself read it just yet. Hopefully in 2018.

Elite (Eagle Elite, #1)

I grabbed this book off BookOutlet and couldn’t wait for it to arrive……but there it sits…..on the shelf…..unread. 2018 will be the year I read it!

The Invasion of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #2)

I loved the first book in this series. Absolutely loved it and it didn’t even have romance, GASP!!! Sadly I was checking how many pages it had and saw a spoiler 😦 I think I’m trying to put some distance between the day I was spoiled and when I read it so I’ll forget it. I think it’s working….*tries not to think too hard*

Heat Exchange (Boston Fire, #1)

I grabbed this at my local used bookstore and thought I would read it right away. I mean…..look at that cover *swoons*

Daughter of the Pirate King (Daughter of the Pirate King, #1)

I couldn’t wait for this one to be released!! My library didn’t get it unfortunately BUT I found it at the used bookstore I mentioned above ^. It also came with a signed bookplate so I guess it was worth the wait?! Can’t wait to read this one!!

Rookie Move (Brooklyn Bruisers, #1)

I paid full price for this at Barnes and Noble so you would think that would push it up the TBR. Sadly, it didn’t haha. I have yet to read a book by Sarina Bowen but all my friends rave about her writing and characters.

Traveler (Traveler #1)

This was a total cover buy. LOOK AT IT!!! So gorgeous!!! I need to make time to read this because it has to be good because of the cover….right?!?!?

The Iron Queen (The Iron Fey, #3)

Here’s another one where I loved the previous books in the series but just haven’t had time to continue on with it. I think I’m a series addict ya’ll……I love me some series!!!

These are some of the books that I really wanted to get to in 2017 but didn’t. Are any of these on your list too?!! Which ones should I make a priority?! Let me know in the comments below!!!

  1. Seeing The Goal reminds me (yet again) that I *really* need to continue the Off Campus series. I loved The Deal but for some reason never continued the series. Need to do that this year.

I adore Sarina Bowen but haven’t read the Brooklyn Bruisers series yet. The woman is a writing machine and has a LOT of books! 🙂

    1. You should!! I loved book 1 the best and then book 3 was my second favorite. You’ll have to keep me posted when you pick them up!! Sarina has SOOO many books, heck all these NA authors do. I don’t know how they have time to do anything else lol!!! Thanks for stopping by Tanya! On my way to your post now ❤

  2. God it’s like your list is the same as mine. I still haven’t read Crooked Kingdoms and I have no idea why I haven’t yet. I loved Six of Crows. The Iron Fey series is amazing and has the prefect ending that you will love! I still haven’t finished the Raven Boys series or Harry Potter series (The Shame). Wonderful list 🙂

    1. I really enjoyed the first two fey books so no idea why I haven’t continued. Same goes for Crooked Kingdom, sigh. Way too many books out there I think is our issue. I hope you get to all your TTT books soon!!! Loved your list!

  3. I pretty much knocked out the YA books on your list, with the exception of Traveler. All were fabulous. I love Bowen and am pretty much up to date with the Bruisers books (love them!) I need to get The Goal, because I love the Off-Campus boys, and I think that one will be amazing.
